The bristles are biodegradable not compostable. They are a blend of bamboo charcoal fiber and nylon. The handle is 100% compostable. Remove the bristles with pliers to compost the handle.

The medium firm bristles are made from bamboo charcoal fiber with NO COLOR ADDED. With naturally antibacterial, antimicrobial and odor-resistant bamboo handles.
